Character Vignettes: Amanda Devereaux and Clarissa Fairchild/Fray

Amanda Devereaux                                 

Amandal Devereaux is the youngest of nine children, all beautiful women. She is an accountant by trade, and is fully aware of the things that go bump in the night. She just wants nothing at all to do with them. Her abilities include: premonition, cognition, empath, and telekinesis. Premonitions allow her to see what will happen in the future. Being an empath means that she can feel what others feel. and telekinesis means that she can move things with her mind.

Judging by her profession as an accountant and how long it takes to complete the degree she is approximately 22 at the beginning of her series.

Clarissa Fairchild/Fray    

Clarissa is 15 years old, and completely unaware of her heritage as a shadowhunter. she currently possesses a magical blockage preventing her from seeing anything supernatural. She is spunky and raised by a single mother. Clary is an only child. She has the ability to draw things into being if she focuses enough. This will be instrumental throughout her series. She can also trap real things in drawings. Eventually she can invent runes as well.

Once Clary is aware of her heritage she embraces it fully. She has multiple runes applied and insists on being involved in missions from day one.
